Golding, William
WILLIAM GOLDING nasceu na Inglaterra, em 1911. Antes de se tornar escritor, foi ator, músico e professor primário, entre outras atividades. Em 1940, ingressou na Marinha Britânica e participou de ações militares durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Senhor das Moscas, seu primeiro romance, foi publicado em 1954. Em 1983 recebeu o Prêmio Nobel de Literatura. Foi sagrado cavaleiro britânico em 1988. Morreu em 1993, aos 81 anos. |
