Rousseau, Jean-Jacques
Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778) nasceu e cresceu em Genebra (Suíça). Mudou-se para Paris, onde teve contato com os enciclopedistas e tornou-se amigo de Diderot e Grimm. Começou a tornar-se conhecido como escritor em 1750, quando recebeu da Académie de Dijon o prêmio pelo seu Discurso sobre as ciências e as artes. Entre suas obras mais conhecidas estão também Do contrato social, Discurso sobre a origem e os fundamentos da desigualdade entre os homens e Discurso sobre a economia política. |
